Job Summary

Directs and oversees all Supply Chain operations, including the Materials Distribution Center and all acute and non-acute facilities and settings. Responsibilities encompass planning, scheduling and coordinating the supply, material flow, and storage of inventory from suppliers to end users. These responsibilities include oversight of the Receiving, Courier, Warehousing, Linen, Asset Management, Mail, and Inventory Control teams, as well as the on-site operations for each facility. Ensures continuous improvement and develops policies, procedures, and processes for effective and efficient supply chain operations.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for partnering and leading with management to pursue opportunities for reduction of expenses in equipment, supplies, and service areas for all aspects of the supply chain.

  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates the supply, material flow, and storage of inventory from suppliers to end users, while controlling the flow of materials /products to ensure timely arrival and maximize efficiency.

  • Monitors the quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency supply movement and storage; finds cost effective ways to distribute supplies.

  • Oversees supply distribution including par level replenishment system, department requisitions, stat requests, and other unscheduled supply delivery requirements.

  • Analyzes data to monitor performance and plan improvements and demand.

  • Creates policies or procedures for logistics and inventory control activities to ensure efficient operations.

  • Manages logistics and Supply Chain costs within the allocated budget; monitors project logistics expenses and initiates cost-reduction plans.

  • Participates in organization’s committees, makes presentations, and represents Supply Chain on boards, commissions, and associations as requested.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • Job has direct and/or indirect supervision of team members that may include final budget authority, hire/termination authority, performance appraisal responsibility and disciplinary authority. Job will be considered a member of management staff at Prisma Health or affiliate and will have direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field of study.  Master’s degree preferred.

  • Experience - Eight (8) years supply chain experience. Management/leadership experience.

    • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful and comprehensive supply chain programs.

    • Extensive knowledge of multiple supply chain functional areas. Experienced in managing teams and leading departmental functions

    • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance organizational and business considerations.

    • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences.

    • Proven ability to solve complex problems effectively and manage multiple high priority deliverables.  Proactive in prioritizing needs and managing resources efficiently.

    • Leadership skills to guide teams towards high performance and quality service.

    • Maintains integrity and trust among leadership and staff.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
