Position: Executive Director - Assisted Living

Employment: Full-Time | Leadership

Position Location: Richmond, Virginia

YOUR ROLE: LEAD OUR COMMUNITIES TOWARD EXCELLENCE

As our Executive Director, you'll provide leadership and operational oversight while fostering a positive, resident-centered environment where employees feel supported and residents receive exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations across both communities, ensuring exceptional standards of care, service, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Virginia Assisted Living regulations, licensing requirements, company policies, and applicable healthcare standards.
• Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop department managers and staff while promoting accountability, teamwork, and employee retention.
• Financial Management: Develop and oversee operating budgets, monitor financial performance, control expenses, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Occupancy & Business Growth: Drive occupancy initiatives, develop referral relationships, and strengthen each community's reputation.
• Resident & Family Satisfaction: Build meaningful relationships with residents and families while ensuring their needs, concerns, and expectations are addressed.
• Quality Assurance & Survey Readiness: Lead quality improvement initiatives, maintain survey readiness, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborative Leadership: Partner with regional leadership, healthcare professionals, and community stakeholders to achieve organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS: WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

We're seeking a confident, experienced leader with a proven track record of successfully managing senior living operations.

Required Qualifications:
• Valid Virginia Assisted Living Administrator license or other qualifying credential as required by applicable state regulations.
• 3-5 years of leadership experience in Assisted Living, Senior Living, Long-Term Care, or a related healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of Virginia Assisted Living regulations, licensing requirements, and compliance standards.
• Demonstrated experience managing facility operations, departmental budgets, staffing, and employee performance.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of resident care and operational performance.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Executive Director or Assisted Living Administrator.
• Experience overseeing multiple senior living communities.
• Demonstrated success in occupancy development, financial management, and employee retention.
