JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Area product owner affluent cards in the Branded card affluent product team, you build deep functional and technical understanding of the segment’s products, platforms, operations, and servicing strategies to guide delivery of technology solutions. You contribute to product vision and lead a team of product managers through discovery, design, and delivery. You partner closely with strategy, technology, analytics, data, and product stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes and continuously improve existing products.

Job responsibilities
  • Build a deep understanding of affluent customer needs and help evolve the segment value proposition.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for senior leaders, shaping priorities and execution for the segment’s book of work.
  • Uncover customer insights and opportunities; define customer problems and translate them into clear problem statements and solutions.
  • Develop and refine a book of work grounded in customer outcomes and key business objectives.
  • Own new features end to end, from ideation through launch and ongoing maintenance.
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers through the product development life cycle.
  • Partner closely with data, design, and engineering teams to run discovery and strengthen delivery ways of working based on customer feedback.
  • Set standards for writing initiatives, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and drive effective roadmaps and sprint planning.
  • Collaborate with other product teams and technology leads to align to the broader technology roadmap.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Seven or more years of product experience, including defining user experience needs, identifying go-to-market opportunities, and delivering new offerings.
  • Experience leading an agile delivery team aligned to a product, with strong working knowledge of agile practices.
  • Experience using common delivery and documentation tools (for example, Jira and Confluence).
  • Passion for online and mobile experiences and awareness of industry trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organization and self-motivation, with the ability to adapt plans based on changing priorities and market conditions.
  • Ability to drive outcomes across digital experience, product performance metrics, time to market, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and manage multiple initiatives at the same time.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience using user-centered design practices to drive customer journey outcomes.
  • Experience working with distributed scrum teams.
  • Experience embedding risk and control procedures into delivery while improving customer outcomes.
  • Experience in financial services.
