Full Job Description
Summary: As part of a mission centric, locally delivered and nationally powered organization the Region Executive Director leads business decisions and teams to drive regional growth and execute organizational business strategy. This role is accountable for strong leadership in driving mission and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) integration; financial oversight and management; operations management; employee lifecycle management; and volunteer leadership and management in designated markets.

Accountabilities:

Mission & DEI Integration
  • Serves as the organizational spokesperson to promote the understanding of Blood Cancer United's mission and presence within designated markets.
  • Partners with departments and teams across the organization to lead and integrate the communication of the Blood Cancer United overall mission, programs, resources, and priorities into market specific activities.
  • Integrates and leads regional strategy and programs to create an inclusive and equitable culture that represents the spectrum of diversity.

Financial Oversight & Management
  • Accountable for overall revenue and Profit & Loss (P&L) statement responsibility for designated markets; including implementing Blood Cancer United financial controls in regional operations.
  • Conducts annual strategic planning to maximize market potential in support of Territory goals. ****
  • Oversees the implementation of national peer-to-peer fundraising
  • Optimizes revenue portfolio through strategic management of business development and major gifts prospects.

Operations Management
  • Leads the implementation of Blood Cancer United business operational plans and standards; including contracts, procurement, event management, communication, use of technology, business continuity programs, and risk management.
  • Oversee market specific activities to deliver brand aligned events and initiatives.

Employee Lifecycle Management
  • Leads the employee lifecycle including planning, acquiring, engaging, and developing of staff and teams.
  • Coaches, develops, and manages regional leaders in charge of sales teams, peer-to-peer fundraising volunteer leadership committees, and business development and advancement relationships.
  • Leads succession planning in the region, including the identification of development and internal mobility opportunities to build leadership bench.

Volunteer Leadership and Management
  • Provides strong leadership and direction for staff and volunteer leaders in the development and implementation of operational plans.
  • Partners with and develops local volunteer leaders as brand ambassadors through strategic goal planning, cultivation and connection to local high level community leaders.
  • Leads and manages Region Board(s).

We are excited to share the base pay range for this position is $147K to $175K. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Blood Cancer United we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
