Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Superintendent, this role is responsible for overseeing the short term and long term fiscal health of the District. This role should oversee the development of a short term and long term budget - plans that are essential to the District's long term success. This role is also responsible for excellence in financial operations - accurate paychecks, appropriate accounts payable and receivable, grant compliance, etc. The position also, in conjunction with human resources, represents the District in union negotiations.
In addition, this role serves as a key member of the District Executive Team. Despite taking a more financial lens, the Executive Director of Finance serves as an educational leader dedicated to achieving the District's academic and equity goals. Therefore this position requires significant collaboration with key partners, including the Board of Trustees.
