Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
• Seven or more years of progressive fundraising leadership experience with proven success in major gifts and donor engagement.
• Demonstrated record of securing, cultivating, and stewarding major philanthropic investments.
• Strong executive presence with exceptional relationship-building skills.
• Experience managing and developing staff and volunteers.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and community leaders.
• Familiarity with fundraising CRM systems, preferably Raiser’s Edge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
• Lead revenue generation across diverse funding streams including major gifts and corporate partnerships.
• Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors and community partners, cultivating transformational gifts.
• Design donor engagement strategies to enhance relationships and donor retention.
• Foster partnerships with board members and volunteers to support fundraising.
• Build strategic corporate, civic, and community partnerships for increased visibility.
• Serve as an ambassador for the YMCA to donors, business leaders, and stakeholders.
• Mentor and develop the Development team, promoting a culture of improvement.
• Oversee development operations, including budgeting and performance reporting.
• Collaborate across departments to align fundraising with community needs.
