SUMMARY

Directs, administers andcoordinates the daily activities of the Maple Crest areas, Bluffton, Ohiocampus in support of policies, goals, and objectives established by the BrethrenRetirement Community (BRC) Board of Directors and Bylaws, including the missionand core values contained therein, except as otherwise required by applicablelaw.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES ANDRESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Oversee the daily operations of all departmentsto ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery and continuity of care atour Maple Crest location.
• Monitor departmental performance to ensurecompliance with federal, state, and local regulations, licensing requirements,company policies, and MHCO standards.
• Directs the preparation of short-termdepartmental goals and participates in the development of organizational goalsand objectives.
• Oversees directors and supervisors relating todirect departmental activities that implement MHCO organizational policies.
• Assists in the implementation of departmentalprograms that meet corporate goals and objectives.
• Create innovative ways to gain employeecommitment to the organization's mission and vision. Educate staff and model to others excellentcustomer service.
• Monitors the budget in various areas such ascensus, FTE's and supplies.
• Maintains a sound plan of departmentalorganization, establishing processes to ensure adequate development.
• Develops and installs procedures and controls topromote communication and adequate information flow within departmentalorganizations.
• Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities,and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
• Ensures that all reporting organization'sactivities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state andfederal regulations and laws governing business operations.
• Coordinate with department leaders and staff tofacilitate appropriate follow-up with residents and families, communicateresolutions, and promote resident and family satisfaction.
• Direct and control assigned operations andinformation to maintain sound privacy and security practices and preventprivacy or security breaches. If abreach occurs, take corrective action.
• Attends workshops and seminars to keep updatedon changes in long-term care.

SUPERVISORYRESPONSIBILITIES

Manages the day to day operational responsibilities of the MapleCrest areas of MHCO, Bluffton. Select Department Directors are managedthrough your direct report supervision who in turn manage MHCO employees. Is responsible for the overall direction,coordination and evaluation of these staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with theorganization's polices and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employee's;planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding anddiscipling employees' addressing complaints and resolving problems as outlinedby Manager's duties through the management agreement.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (BA) or equivalent; or six to seven years relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience. Preferred, but not required CertifiedExecutive for Assisted Living (CEAL) certification in good standing. Knowledge of Ohio Department of Health, OhioDepartment of Aging and HCFA rules and regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the mostsensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to write speeches and articles using original and innovativetechniques or styles. Ability to makeeffective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complextopics to top management, public groups and/or board of directors.

REASONING AND ANALYTICAL ABILITY
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw validconclusions. Ability to interpret andextensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract andconcrete variables. Ability to reviewdata and properly analyze using mathematical concepts such as fractions,percentages, ratios, and projections.
