Full Job Description
Are you a bold, mission-driven behavioral health leader ready to shape the future of psychiatric rehabilitation in Maryland? We are seeking an Executive Director who brings both strategic vision and operational excellence to a growing Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program for Adults (PRP-A).

This is more than an executive leadership role - it is an opportunity to drive meaningful impact for adults living with serious mental health challenges by leading a recovery-oriented, person-centered, community-based program committed to quality, compliance, and innovation.

We are looking for a leader who can confidently guide organizational strategy, strengthen program quality, support regulatory and accreditation success, and inspire teams to deliver exceptional care. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable leading through data, building strong systems, mentoring leaders, and representing the organization with credibility and heart.

Required credential: LCSW-C, LCPC, or CPRP

Setting: Annapolis, MD (office based with community engagement)

What you'll bring:
  • Executive-level leadership in behavioral health or psychiatric rehabilitation
  • Strong knowledge of COMAR, CARF, quality management, and program oversight
  • 2+ years experience with strategic planning, financial stewardship, and organizational accountability
  • A passion for person-centered, recovery-oriented services
  • The ability to lead with clarity, compassion, and high standards

Why this role matters:

As Executive Director, you will help shape culture, guide growth, strengthen regulatory readiness, oversee key performance outcomes, and ensure that services remain effective, ethical, and deeply aligned with the needs of the people served. This role is ideal for a leader who wants to build something meaningful while ensuring excellence at every level.

If you are ready to lead a Maryland PRP-A with vision, integrity, and purpose, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply today and help lead a program where quality care, compliance, and community impact go hand in hand.
