You will lead a high-performing team and cross-sector partnerships that support underserved entrepreneurs and small businesses in building, sustaining, and scaling their ventures. You will sharpen your strategic leadership and expand your influence across a mission-driven, global organization. Join us to mobilize capital, accelerate innovation, and help more entrepreneurs build wealth, resilience, and long-term opportunity.

As an Executive Director, Head of Business Growth & Entrepreneurship in U.S. Philanthropy, you will lead a high-impact portfolio focused on expanding access to resources, capital, and opportunities for underserved small businesses and entrepreneurs. You will lead the firm’s philanthropy strategy to foster business creation, growth, and sustainability by increasing access to capital, strengthening entrepreneurial ecosystems, and supporting pathways to long-term business success—particularly for businesses that have historically faced barriers to growth.

You will manage a team that designs and executes major initiatives and partners with government, philanthropic, nonprofit, corporate, industry, and community leaders to deliver innovative solutions at scale. Your responsibilities include strategy development and analysis, strategic grantmaking and program design, and thought leadership across a large, multifaceted organization. You’ll collaborate with JPMorgan Chase’s most senior executives to evaluate market trends, policies, and ecosystem gaps, assess implications for the firm and the communities we serve, and shape strategies that advance inclusive economic growth and opportunity.

The Corporate Responsibility team at JPMorgan Chase advances a stronger, more inclusive economy and society for clients, customers, and communities globally. The Global Philanthropy team consists of Employee Engagement & Volunteerism, Impact Finance, and grantmaking teams at the national and local levels. The Business Growth & Entrepreneurship team’s core functions are to develop and execute strategies that support underserved small businesses, evaluate and manage grant portfolios, and provide thought leadership on inclusive entrepreneurship, small business growth, and economic mobility.

  • Partner with Corporate Responsibility leaders, government agencies, industry stakeholders, and nonprofit organizations to inform policies that support inclusive business growth and entrepreneurship

  • Establish portfolio priorities and make strategic recommendations regarding investments, partnerships, and resource allocation, balancing impact opportunities, organizational capacity, and risk considerations

  • Serve as lead relationship manager with key external partners and leaders across the firm

  • Maintain strong governance, risk management, and grantmaking controls across the portfolio, ensuring responsible stewardship of philanthropic resources and compliance with firm standards and Corporate Responsibility procedures

  • Monitor external environment for economic trends, ecosystem gaps, and partnership opportunities related to small business growth; share insights with key line of business partners

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and representative of the firm on issues related to underserved small business growth, access to capital, and inclusive entrepreneurship with external partners, policymakers, and industry stakeholders
