The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Executive Director of ASC, reporting to its chairperson and is appointed and directly supervised by the Board Chairperson.
Duties performed:
- Directs the development of functional statements, organizational charts, staffing plans, and other documentation necessary to maintain and justify ASC staffing numbers.
- Provides analyses of policy issues affecting the responsibilities of the ASC to the Chairperson and the Board.
- Manages ASC's fulfilment of its responsibilities regarding monitoring state programs (licensing, certification, AMC registration, supervision, discipline, complaint resolution), including completing compliance reviews of each states' programs and maintaining the appraisal complaint hotline.
- Oversees the ongoing maintenance and any further development of the ASC's information technology responsibilities, including its website and the national registry of licensed real estate appraisers and AMCs.
- Ensures that contracts are awarded in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

QualificationsYou may qualify at the SL-00 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:Specialized Experience:Applicant must demonstrate one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility above or at the GS-15 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties:
- Managing the development of policies, procedures, and practices to guide activities of an organization;
- Establishing contact with real estate appraisal industry stakeholders to initiate meetings and/or conferences with directors of state and local real estate boards, commissions and/or associations to explain the goals and objectives of the organization;
- Directing the administration of grant monies to ensure grant requests and activities funded are consistent with Title XI; and
- Supervising employees to ensure work performed is timely and accurate.
