Position SummaryThis position will be a member of the Commercial Regions Actuarial leadership team, responsible for driving actuarial alignment behind our most important strategic initiatives such as 101-200 resegmentation. This role also supports the Large Group Center of Excellence, and ensures actuarial resources are aligned with strategic initiatives to achieve profitability and membership goals.
Major Responsibilities1. Change Management & Transformation:- Ensure thorough understanding of underwriting tools and business processes involved in bringing rates to market
- Identify and address areas of financial slippage
- Remediate real and perceived disjoints in Aetna product offerings across funding spectrum within Large Group segments
- Successful transition of 101-200 business from Large Group to Small & Midsize Business segment. Identifies and remediates issues in underwriting and system conversion processes.
2. Process & Tool Improvement: - Re-imagine and improve actuarial processes to integrate Large Group / SMB rate reviews, UW processes, and financial reporting.
- Ensure holistic management processes across Fully Insured and AFA funding types.
3. Executive Communication and Presentations:- Provide executive actuarial oversight for fully-insured Public & Labor business, including pricing, forecasting, and technical case review controls for large new & renewal opportunities.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration to solve problems and deliver for stakeholders.
5. Lead and Develop a high-performing actuarial team.
Required Qualifications- 10+ years of progressive actuarial experience within health insurance, healthcare consulting, or managed care organizations.
- Fellowship (FSA) strongly preferred (ASA required)
- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (preferred)
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing actuarial teams and leading enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Deep expertise in commercial pricing, underwriting, forecasting, rate filing, and financial performance management.
- Experience partnering with senior executives to influence strategy and business outcomes.
- Proven success leading through organizational change and large-scale business transformations.

Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$175,100.00 - $334,750.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
