About the Role:

We're looking for an Executive Business Partner to support the VP of Global Ad Solutions as OpenAI builds its first advertising business.

The Executive Business Partner will be a proactive and adaptable partner to executives, managing complex scheduling, coordinating projects, and optimizing workflows. This role requires independence, task-level ownership, and a deep understanding of OpenAI's mission to foster AGI that benefits humanity. The ideal candidate is comfortable with ambiguity, rapidly-evolving business priorities, and can drive best practices to help scale exec and team operations.

This role is based in New York. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.

In this role, you will:

  • Excel in sharing information clearly and efficiently, adapting communication styles for a broad range of audiences
  • Manage a highly dynamic executive calendar, making thoughtful trade-offs across internal priorities, customer and agency engagements, travel, and high-visibility industry moments.
  • Coordinate closely across Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, Policy, and GTM partners to keep high-stakes workstreams, meetings, and follow-through moving smoothly.
  • Operate with discretion and independence, proactively optimizing processes and flagging risks, while ensuring sensitive information is handled with care

You might thrive in this role if you have / are:
  • 6-14 years of experience in an executive support role
  • Supported multiple leaders with complex and highly cross-functional teams
  • Worked directly with customer facing teams (Sales or Marketing) in a high-growth startup, or similar environment
  • Managed and optimized extremely busy calendars
  • Extreme attention to detail - it's not a personality trait but an exercised functional skill e.g. mastery of project-based tools; tracking near-/long-term deliverables
  • Exceptional communication skills - being able to tailor a message appropriate to a specific audience (writing an email to a customer vs. an exec)
  • Professionalism and discretion - you understand the balance between transparency and confidentiality
  • Independent task level operator
  • One-team mindset - Partnership and collaboration is a cornerstone in how you operate
  • Extremely fluent in Slack, Google Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, and other modern productivity software, and are excited to learn and use new tools.
  • Genuine interest in the technology we're building and the transformative potential of AI
  • Capable and comfortable working in a rapidly changing and often ambiguous environment
