Full Job Description
This is a unique, high-impact role designed for a sophisticated professional who wants to be at the epicenter of a growing technology company. You will serve as the "right hand" to our CEO/Founder, acting as a force multiplier across business operations and investor relations. We are looking for an experienced professional who possesses the grace under pressure to navigate ambiguity and the confidence to represent the CEO in high-stakes environments. Key Responsibilities 🗓 Executive Support & Orchestration • Logistics Mastery: Manage a complex calendar, domestic/international travel, and executive offsites with precision, even when working in "shades of gray." • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate high-stakes meetings, board presentations, and executive offsites with precision. • Travel & Presence: Handle end-to-end travel arrangements. Occasionally travel with the CEO to provide on-site support at key industry events or business meetings. Business Operations & Strategic Partnership • Operating Cadence: Partner closely with the Chief of Staff to execute the "rhythm of the business," ensuring the executive team stays aligned on goals and weekly priorities. • Resolution Driver: Own and drive items to resolution. You aren't just tracking tasks; you are identifying patterns, anticipating roadblocks, and solving problems before they reach the CEO's desk. • Operational Anchor: Function as an operational partner to the executive team, driving the company's core cadence and ensuring that leadership priorities are translated into consistent, actionable outcomes. • Global Perspective: Manage communications and logistics across international cultures, maintaining a high level of cultural competence and professional polish. Representation & Communication • The CEO's Ambassador: Act as a confident proxy for the CEO in interactions with customers and investors, ensuring the company's brand and the CEO's principles are represented with total professionalism. • Organizational Liaison: Communicate effectively "up and down" the organization, translating the CEO's vision into actionable updates for the team while keeping the CEO informed of internal sentiment. • Discretion: Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and discretion regarding sensitive business information, IPO preparations, and personnel matters. Qualifications • The "Grace" Factor: Proven ability to stay calm and effective in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. You thrive on the "gray areas" where there isn't always a clear roadmap. • Strategic Mindset: You are highly organized and can recognize patterns, seeing how minor details contribute to the broader business strategy. • Executive Presence: Comfortable and confident engaging with executives, investors, Board members, and global partners. • Global Fluency: Experience or comfort level with varying business cultures. • Proven Experience: Significant experience supporting C-level executives in tech, ideally with IPO experience. • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills; you can draft a sensitive email to an investor just as easily as a Slack message to the internal team. Location & Logistics • This is an in person role in our Redwood City, CA office • To the extent required by state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation. • The anticipated salary range for this role is $140,000-180,000. The role is also eligible for our company bonus plan. Actual compensation will be determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional/education experience, skills/abilities, internal equity, and budgetary considerations. In addition, Hammerspace offers a broad range of health plans for medical, dental, vision, life and disability. We also offer 401k, HSA and FSA plans and flexible time off. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
