PERMANENT FULL-TIME POSITION IN NORTH VANCOUVER

Are you a highly organized, proactive, and relationship-focused professional with a passion for supporting leadership and community impact? Squamish Nation is seeking an Executive Assistant II to support two Executive Directors, the Executive Director of Nexwníwmamin Ch'áwch'aw Territory & Culture Services, and the Executive Director of Ḵ'iyáxan Ch'áwch'aw Community Services.

This role is central to ensuring the effectiveness of the Executive Director's office. You will serve as a trusted partner, managing information flow, supporting strategic priorities, and fostering strong relationships with internal teams and community members. As an Executive Assistant II, your work will directly contribute to advancing initiatives that protect and honor Squamish Nation's lands, culture, and language.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business Administration, Legal Administration, First Nations Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in executive support or senior administrative roles.
  • Experience managing communications, reports, and executive-level coordination.
  • Knowledge of Squamish Nation, First Nations governance, or cultural practices is preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High level of emotional intelligence, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and experience with database systems (JD Edwards is an asset).
  • Valid BC Driver's License and ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Salary: $80,026 - $120,040

Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
