The Execution Turnaround Maintenance Coordinator plays a critical role in the safe and effective execution of refinery turnaround events. This position provides leadership and coordination throughout turnaround planning and execution activities, ensuring alignment with Operational Excellence principles, safety requirements, cost objectives, schedule commitments, and business priorities.
The role serves as a key interface between Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Technical, Capital Projects, contractors, and support organizations to ensure successful turnaround delivery. The successful candidate demonstrates strong leadership, technical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment while driving incident-free performance.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Champion incident-free operations and reinforce Chevron's Operational Excellence expectations and safe work practices, including LOTO, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, and other critical safety processes.
- Conduct routine field audits, lead safety meetings and tailgates, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Steward turnaround scope development and justification while ensuring alignment with business objectives and event priorities.
- Develop and communicate Front-End Loading (FEL) plans, including contracting strategies, communication plans, permitting requirements, critical lifts, facility readiness plans, and execution strategies.
- Ensure adherence to the IMPACT process, including milestone compliance, KPI stewardship, scope management, and schedule integrity.
- Partner with Capital Project Managers and turnaround stakeholders to define ownership and execution strategies for pre-turnaround and turnaround work.
- Select, manage, and oversee contractors to ensure appropriate tools, materials, labor resources, and equipment are available to safely execute work.
- Coordinate support from internal organizations including Operations, Security, Pass Control, Shops, Technical, Reliability, and other support groups.
- Lead and coordinate company resources responsible for turnaround execution activities.
- Provide clear work direction and prioritize activities to optimize workforce efficiency and turnaround performance.
- Coach, train, and develop mechanics and contractor personnel while reinforcing accountability and high-performance expectations.
- Facilitate daily and weekly coordination meetings to align priorities, address risks, and ensure effective execution.
- Monitor budgets, forecasts, and expenditures to support turnaround cost objectives.
- Identify and resolve execution risks, resource constraints, and competing priorities while maintaining focus on safe and reliable operations.
- Capture and document lessons learned throughout all phases of turnaround planning and execution to support continuous improvement.
- Support implementation and adoption of digital tools and technologies designed to improve turnaround performance and execution effectiveness.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to align stakeholders, manage expectations, and drive successful outcomes.
Required Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of maintenance, turnaround, operations, or related industrial experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe work practices, contractor management, and maintenance execution processes in a refinery or industrial environment.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
- 10+ years of maintenance, turnaround, or industrial execution experience, including experience coordinating cross-functional teams and contractor resources.
- Experience working with turnaround processes and gated work systems such as IMPACT.
- Familiarity with Primavera P6, MAXIMO, Microsoft Office applications, and other maintenance and scheduling systems.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in turnaround execution, maintenance supervision, or contractor management roles.
- Strong communication, teamwork, coaching, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $137,600 - $237,800.
