Full Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for an Events Lead to take full ownership of every event poolside touches-the ones we host and the ones we show up to-across the world. From investor moments like Davos to developer activations to revenue-driving conferences we attend, you'll own production end to end: booth, materials, swag, logistics, vendors, and the run-of-show. You'll also be the person who makes sure every poolside team member traveling to an event is organized, briefed, and set up to make an impact.

This role is based in the US. The most complex and highest-stakes events we run happen here, for reasons of audience, partners, and logistics, so we need someone on the ground who can lead them with operational rigor.

You'll work across marketing, sales, product, developer relations, and leadership, and you'll be the connective tissue that turns a calendar of events into measurable awareness, demand, and model usage.

YOUR MISSION

You'll be obsessed with how poolside shows up to the world-every booth, every dinner, every keynote moment-and with turning each one into mindshare, model usage, brand and pipeline.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You'll own the full lifecycle of poolside's events, which fall into three broad categories, each with its own goals:
  • Commercial - revenue-generating events designed to create and accelerate pipeline. You'll align audiences, invites, and follow-through with go-to-market & partnerships so each event drives measurable commercial impact.
  • Activation events - events built to grow mindshare, model usage, and token consumption. You'll design experiences that get developers to try, adopt, and build with poolside.
  • Corporate events - All the other moments where poolside needs to show up with precision and polish.

Across all three, you'll:
  • Own the entire show. From budget to booth design, swag to A/V, on-site ops to run-of-show, you'll be the person who turns a blank slate into an event people remember. Nothing ships without your fingerprints on it.
  • Be the reason it runs flawlessly. Every traveling team member looks to you for briefings, schedules, logistics, and prep. When the poolside contingent walks in sharp, organized, and ready, that's you.
  • Connect events to real outcomes. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with go-to-market, partnerships, marketing, product, and developer relations to tie every event to targets that matter: attendance, pipeline, model usage, content reach. You won't just run events, you'll prove they moved the needle.
  • Own the money story. Track spend, reconcile invoices, and model ROI so the business knows exactly what's working and why. Your story shapes where we invest next.
  • Set the bar for partners. Build the relationships with agencies, production partners, sponsors, and vendors that make great events possible, and hold every one of them to the standard poolside is known for.
  • Take poolside global. As we scale our presence across regions, you'll be the one building programming that works anywhere in the world.
  • Make every event better than the last. Own the KPIs for reach, engagement, pipeline, and brand lift, then turn the data into insights that sharpen everything we do.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years in event planning and execution, including hands-on experience running conferences, product launches, or activations with large audiences.
  • Based in the US, with the operational skill to lead complex, high-stakes events on the ground here like AWS re:Invent or NVIDIA GTC.
  • Deeply detail-oriented: run-of-show documents, vendor management, A/V coordination, swag and booth logistics, and traveler prep are where you shine.
  • Commercial awareness: you understand how events connect to pipeline, sponsorship value, model adoption, and ROI, and can report on it clearly.
  • A strong cross-functional collaborator who can manage external partners and internal stakeholders to a high standard.
  • Developer empathy: you ideally know how to design experiences that resonate with technical audiences-engineers, CTOs, and product leaders - and you can partner with marketing and our field engineering team to support their vision.
  • Operational rigor: a proven ability to deliver complex events on time and on budget, with solid contingency planning.
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and with the ambiguity of a fast-moving, early-stage environment.

PROCESS
  • Intro call
  • Working session on event strategy and execution with the marketing team
  • Cross-functional interviews
  • Team fit call with the People Team
  • Final interview
BENEFITS
  • Fully remote work & flexible hours
  • 37 days/year of vacation & holidays
  • Health insurance allowance for you and dependents
  • Company-provided equipment
  • Wellbeing, always-be-learning and home office allowances
  • Frequent team get togethers
  • Great diverse & inclusive people-first culture
