Full Job Description
About the role

As Event & Field Marketing Lead at Forus, you will own one of Forus' most important growth channels. How and where we show up to providers has a direct impact on the growth of our network, the strength of our brand, and our ability to reach the most important leaders in the community. Your job is to determine where we invest, how we show up, and how we build meaningful relationships with providers and industry leaders at scale.

You will own strategy and drive execution end-to-end, serving as the connective tissue between our growth, sales, and marketing efforts in the field. You will decide which conferences, events, and programs deserve our attention, develop the playbooks that maximize their impact, and build the systems that allow the function to scale. Success in this role means helping Forus become a trusted presence within the provider community through conferences, field programs, executive events, and industry relationships.

This is a demanding role, with a high level of autonomy and responsibility. You will be expected to "act like an owner" and commit yourself to Forus' success. If you are low-ego, hungry to learn, and excited about intense, impactful work that drives both company growth and accelerated career progression, we want to hear from you.

If you join, you will:
  • Own the field marketing function end-to-end: strategy, execution, budget allocation, and the ROI analytics that determine where we invest
  • Determine the right level of presence for each event, including conferences, speaking opportunities, executive dinners, hosted programs, sponsorships, and other field initiatives
  • Maximize the impact of every conference, executive dinner, workshop, and event through thoughtful planning, targeted outreach, strong execution, and rigorous follow-through
  • Develop the field marketing playbook, including the processes, systems, and best practices that allow the function to scale
  • Own event budgets, performance measurement, and pipeline attribution frameworks, continuously evaluating where to double down and where to pull back
  • Build strategic relationships across industry organizations, conferences, and other ecosystem partners that can accelerate provider network growth
  • Lay the groundwork for Forus-owned events, executive gatherings, and other programs as the function evolves

We're looking for you if you have:
  • 6-12 years owning a meaningful growth, field marketing, event marketing, partnerships, or demand generation motion
  • Demonstrated ability to build new programs and channels from scratch rather than simply operate existing ones
  • Strong commercial instincts and comfort making decisions about where to invest time, budget, and resources
  • Experience working closely with sales or go-to-market teams to drive measurable business outcomes
  • Strong written and verbal communication that allows you to be an effective participant in both internal debates and external relationships
  • Track record of moving quickly, finding shortcuts, and going to unreasonable lengths to deliver on goals
  • High NPS with your former teammates

This is a list of ideal qualifications for this position. If you don't meet every single one of them, you should still consider applying! We're excited to work with people from underrepresented backgrounds, and we encourage people from all backgrounds to apply.

Working with us

Forus is based in New York, with our full team working out of a beautiful and spacious office in SoHo.

  • Spit it out. Speak directly, invite critique, avoid equivocation. We want right answers, not comfortable ones.
  • Raise the bar together. Hold a high standard for execution, push each other directly, and win as a team.

We provide competitive compensation with meaningful equity (for full-time employees). Everyone who joins will be a major contributor to our success, and we reflect this through ownership and pay.

We also provide rich benefits to ensure you can focus on creating impact (for full-time employees):
  • Fully covered medical, vision, and dental insurance.
  • Memberships for One Medical, Talkspace, Teladoc, and Kindbody.
  • Unlimited paid time off (PTO) and 16 weeks of parental leave.
  • 401K plan setup, FSA option, commuter benefits, and DashPass.
  • Lunch at the office every day and Dinner at the office after 7 pm.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company's size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Forus (for full-time employees). Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity.
