The position of an EUV Field Service Engineer is working most time at customes site. Installs / maintains / repairs TRUMPF machines and devices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install new and used, Retrofit and/or Upgrade TRUMPF EUV (extreme ultraviolet) Drive Laser (EUV-DL) systems, alone or with other team members.
- Provide emergency field service, troubleshooting and repair of EUV-DL systems, including after-hours and weekend dispatch as required.
- Provide preventative maintenance of EUV-DL systems. Answer calls for technical support via telephone and email.
- Utilize remote diagnostics capabilities to resolve customer concerns. Understand and utilize technical documentation, schematics, and blueprints during technical support missions.
- Utilize Service Information Software (SIS) to create, manage and close cases, missions, and reports.
- Interface with TRUMPF departments as necessary to obtain answers to technical problems.
- Report discrepancies, unresolved or recurrent problems to EUV Management. Maintain communication with customers, field service engineers and other personnel in a professional manner.
- Use knowledge of SAP software and other computer skills.
- Work with the EUV Administrator, Project Coordinator and Supervisor for coordinating correct field support.
- Attend training classes as required to maintain skill levels. Attend all necessary meetings in person or by telecommunicating.
- Stay up to date with new product introductions.
- In-office and on-location work involving sitting and standing, mobility around office, work on computer, lifting and carrying up to 70 lbs., and operation of a pallet jack to transport equipment.
- Rotating shifts as part of 24-7 after hours emergency support.
Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or related. 2 years of experience as an engineer in the semiconductor industry that includes the following: Installation, qualification and troubleshooting of EUV Drive Lasers; Troubleshooting Beckhoff PLC controls; Laser optical components, including how different optical shapes and coatings affect laser beam behavior; Networking including managed network switches and Linux-based operating systems; Troubleshooting high-power solid state RF generators. Up to 100% domestic and throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. Extended overnights as needed. Ability to relocate to Phoenix, AZ.
