European Procurement Category Manager (m/f/d)
Carrier, a global leader in HVAC and energy‑efficient solutions, is hiring two experienced European Procurement Category Managers (m/f/d) to lead respectively about €65M-€80M in annual direct spend across the region.
Are you passionate about shaping procurement strategies in an international environment? As European Procurement Category Manager, you will define and execute category strategies, optimize supplier performance, and drive cost efficiency while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the European region.
Location to choose (hybrid): Allendorf (Germany), Montilla (Spain) or Montluel (France), Legnica (Poland)
Scope:
·A portfolio of engineered components to produce HVAC equipment
·Annual spend: about €65M-€80M per portfolio
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the category strategy for the assigned product group across the European region
- Manage and optimize the supplier portfolio, including supplier segmentation and strategic supplier development (value creation, risk management, innovation, ESG)
- Lead contract and price negotiations and drive cost reduction initiatives
- Monitor procurement markets, commodity trends, competitors, and relevant market indices
- Collaborate closely with project procurement and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the sourcing process
- Manage RFI/RFQ activities, perform cost analyses, and support supplier audits, risk management and sustainability initiatives
- Track category performance and ensure achievement of business and procurement targets
Your Profile:
- University degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Proven experience in strategic procurement and category management within an international organization
- Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and negotiation capabilities
- Proficiency in SAP preferred and standard Microsoft Office applications
- Fluent written and spoken English, French, Spanish and/or German would be a plus
- Excellent communication skills with a structured, proactive, and collaborative working style

Vergütungsspanne
Die jährliche Vergütung für diese Position liegt zwischen €69,500.00-€139,500.00 Faktoren wie Fähigkeiten, Ausbildung, Erfahrung und weitere Qualifikationen können die Vergütung innerhalb dieser Spanne beeinflussen. Faktoren, die die Vergütung innerhalb dieser Gehaltsspanne beeinflussen können, sind unter anderem Qualifikationen, Ausbildung, Berufserfahrung, die Anwendbarkeit eines Tarifvertrags (CLA), die marktübliche Vergütung für die Position sowie weitere besondere Qualifikationen der erfolgreichen Kandidatin bzw. des erfolgreichen Kandidaten.
