Job SummaryResponsible for the development, implementation, and nurturing of the ethics and compliance program and culture for our supply and trading business. Also responsible for providing support for surveillance and monitoring for our commercial teams on ethics and compliance initiatives, activities and transactions consistent with our policies regarding supply and trading activities.
Responsible for conducting thorough risk assessments and monitoring activities related to CITGO's third-party engagements to mitigate potential compliance risks. Utilizing analytical tools to regularly measure and report on the effectiveness of the Ethics and Compliance Program, contributing to its continuous improvement. Leading across various elements of the Ethics and Compliance Program, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree
2 years experience
- Excellent judgement
- Demonstrated timely communication skills, written and oral with various departments including HR, Legal Affairs, outside counsel, and Leadership
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Power BI, etc.)
Job DutiesSupport the Manager of Commercial Ethics and Compliance and the Commercial Compliance Lead in conducting compliance risk assessments and monitoring of trading activity, strategies and business communications to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations enacted by external regulatory authorities and CITGO's internal policies, and Code of Conduct.
Apply knowledge of existing laws, rules and regulations impacting the trading business while staying abreast of developments, proposals and new regulatory requirements, Assess potential impacts of any new development, proposal, law, or regulation, and participate in the assessment, development and implementation of systems, processes and procedures to meet these requirements.
Support the overall workflow of the CITGO third party risk management and monitoring program. Reviews documentation, assesses risk levels, develops, and reviews existing policies and procedures, and manages exceptions.
Support the overall E&C team by continuously measuring, analyzing and providing input to ways to enhance the CITGO E&C program. This includes providing input and feedback to new ideas, concepts, tools, etc., as well as participating in team-wide initiatives.
