Full Job Description
We are currently looking for an Estimator to join our CSG team located at our headquarters in Chesterfield, MO. Our ideal candidate for an Estimator will be a self-starter, and we are open to a range of experience levels-from entry-level candidates ready to learn the trade to experienced estimators with 5+ years of mechanical/HVAC estimating experience.
Primary responsibilities for icon's Estimator include:
- Reviewing bid opportunities and bid packages - drawings, specifications, and addenda - to define scope of work, identify risks, and support bid/no-bid decisions.
- Attending pre-bid meetings and job walks to evaluate existing conditions and gather the information needed to build a complete, accurate estimate.
- Performing detailed quantity takeoffs for HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems on design-build, plan-spec, and retrofit projects.
- Developing complete cost estimates, including labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
- Soliciting, evaluating, and leveling vendor and subcontractor quotes to ensure full scope coverage and competitive pricing.
- Preparing and submitting proposals, bid forms, and scope letters with clarifications and qualifications, and supporting bid-day activities.
- Supporting change order pricing on active projects and providing a smooth estimate turnover to the project team on awarded work.
Primary qualifications for icon's Estimator include:
- Knowledge of HVAC and Piping Systems, building products, construction details/design and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
- Experience with estimating and takeoff software and strong Microsoft Excel skills are a plus - we will train the right candidate.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
- Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000
