Responsibilities

  • Estimate parts and labor for collision repairs using manuals and expertise.

  • Review repair-cost estimates with the Body Shop Manager and complete insurance documents.
  • Schedule work for technicians and conduct quality checks on completed repairs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to potential repair customers and promote services.
  • Maintain productive relationships with Direct Repair Programs (DRPs) and prepare estimates accordingly.

Overview

This position will be responsible for all incoming collision repair estimates which will require timely, accurate appraisals and an excellent knowledge of the automotive repair industry. Responsibilities
• Estimate parts and labor to repair damage, using standard automotive labor and parts-cost manuals and knowledge of automotive repair.
• Examine damaged vehicles to determine extent of structural, body, mechanical, electrical, or interior damage.
• Review repair-cost estimates with the Body Shop Manager and complete the necessary insurance and collision repair forms.
• Assist to schedule work for the Body Shop technicians and conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
• Provide superior customer service to all potential repair orders and sell ELCO's Collision Repair Center's valued service/facilities.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with our DRPs and prepare work orders/estimates accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents on driving record in the past 3 years
  • No drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record within the last 3 years (DUI/DWI)
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
  • Must be willing to take a pre-employment drug screening test.
  • Must have at least 3 years of recent or current automotive collision estimator experience.
  • Knowledge of the Reynolds and Reynolds operating systems a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
