Division: IG-InsMtgBnk Location: Quebec City or MontrealPosition (details)A highly experienced Bilingual Estate & Insurance Specialist (EIS) working directly with aligned Advisors on a commission-split basis for high-value clients and complex cases. The EIS integrates into the Advisor's practice and handles the entire process for all cases to identify solutions that fit the client's financial plan, complete the application and documentation, place the case, and support at time of renewal.
Responsibilities: - Work with 15-30 Advisors with large books of business in an area to provide expertise on insurance and estate planning to HNW clients.
- Handle all aspects of the end-to-end insurance process; complete the application and submit case review materials, follow the application through underwriting, document complete compliance requirements, place the policy with the client and provide ongoing service.
- Identify clients and insurance opportunities together with the advisor.
- Develop proposals, model in our proprietary financial planning software and present the solution to the client.
- Actively speak and engage advisors at region office events and clients at marketing events.
- Set practice targets with advisors, monitor and track progress towards goals.
- Participate in marketing and seminars to HNW clients of centers of influence (COI).
- Collaborate with Head Office on insurance and estate planning initiatives to the field.
- Manage and promote key relationships with our Insurance Partners' Advanced Sales departments.
Requirements: - Bilingual in English and French
- Strong leadership, sales and relationship building skills.
- Ability to build and execute on your own business plan.
- Knowledge and understanding (personal and corporate) of industry conditions and trends, competitor products and pricing.
- Expert knowledge of insurance & estate planning principles, financial services and tax laws for both personal and corporate clientele.
- Ability to design and implement advanced strategies for wealth preservation, retirement income enhancement, estate distribution and transfer, charitable giving, business succession and living benefits, including critical illness insurance and disability income protection.
- Ability to run a successful practice virtually and travel within your own area using your own transportation.
- Strong customer service attitude with good interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with well-developed negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Holds applicable provincial licenses.
- A "plus" for any candidate: has or is working toward a Pl. Fin., CFP or CLU designation.
Knowledge of French and English is required to support clients and Team members within and/ or outside the province of Quebec.
