We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, direction, and performance of the ESS Oil-Free portfolio across all technologies.

This leader operates as the single point of ownership for portfolio strategy, taking a technology-agnostic view across centrifugal, oil-free rotary, scroll, and emerging technologies to define and refine where to play and how to win.

This role sits at the center of the business, connecting market insights, technology trends, and commercial execution to drive long-term growth, competitive differentiation, and lifecycle value creation. This leader will guide roadmap decisions, investment priorities, and portfolio evolution, ensuring alignment with ESS and enterprise objectives.

What you do
• Own the end-to-end portfolio strategy for ESS oil-free technologies, serving as the single point of accountability for direction, prioritization, and investment decisions.
• Operate as a technology-agnostic portfolio leader, deliberately optimizing across centrifugal, rotary, scroll, and emerging solutions to deliver the best customer and business outcomes.
• Define and continuously refine where to play / how to win, including target segments, applications, and differentiated value propositions.
• Lead multi-year portfolio and technology roadmaps, balancing innovation, lifecycle management, and near-term commercial performance.
• Leverage market, customer, competitive, and technology trend insights to anticipate shifts and proactively shape the future portfolio.
• Drive portfolio prioritization and trade-offs across competing growth initiatives, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and capital.
• Oversee full lifecycle management, including new product introduction, platform optimization, and portfolio rationalization.
• Ensure rigorous business case development and financial performance, driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and return on investment.
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, sales, marketing, operations, and services to translate strategy into aligned execution globally.
• Drive commercial success through product adoption, value-based pricing, and expansion into targeted vertical markets.
• Maximize lifecycle value creation by aligning product strategy with aftermarket, service, and digital offerings.
• Lead and influence across a matrixed organization, aligning stakeholders, challenging legacy assumptions, and driving enterprise-level outcomes.

Who You Are
• A strategic leader who can connect market trends, technology, and business strategy into a clear portfolio direction.
• A systems thinker who naturally operates across products, technologies, and lifecycle stages.
• A strong influencer who can align diverse stakeholders around a shared vision without formal authority.
• A customer-focused innovator with a passion for delivering solutions that create differentiated value.
• A data-driven decision maker with strong analytical and business acumen.
• A results-oriented operator who can translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

• Proven track record of driving growth and operational excellence in a complex, matrixed environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated success in driving product strategy, roadmap development, and commercialization.
