Join a major energy infrastructure project that is helping expand access to lower-carbon energy solutions. This large-scale industrial development includes liquefaction facilities, storage infrastructure, and marine export capabilities, offering the opportunity to work on one of the most significant construction and commissioning environments in the region.

This role is ideal for a safety professional passionate about promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance across complex engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Position Summary
The ES&H Representative will support the implementation and execution of Environmental, Safety, and Health programs across a large industrial construction project. This individual will work closely with project teams to integrate safety requirements into planning and execution, conduct risk assessments, support investigations, monitor compliance, and help drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) programs, including both technical and administrative components.
  • Assist in developing and implementing Safety & Health Management Plans, procedures, and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Subcontracts, and Commissioning teams to ensure safety requirements are integrated into project activities.
  • Interpret safety regulations, standards, and project requirements, providing guidance on compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Participate in hazard analyses, safety studies, risk assessments, audits, and program reviews.
  • Research regulatory requirements and prepare reports, documentation, and recommendations.
  • Support incident investigations, corrective action implementation, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct field inspections and compliance monitoring to identify hazards, evaluate controls, and promote safe work practices.
  • Track safety performance metrics and identify trends to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate and coordinate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and site personnel to address safety concerns and promote a positive safety culture.
  • Participate in meetings related to project safety performance, planning, and operational readiness.
QualificationsEducation & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, Public Health, Environmental Sciences, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; or
  • 9 to 12 years of related professional experience in industrial, construction, energy, oil & gas, petrochemical, or similar environments.
Required Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of occupational safety and health programs, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with safety management systems, inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of construction, subcontractor management, and industrial project execution processes.
  • Familiarity with one or more specialized safety disciplines, including:
    • Fall Protection
    • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
    • Excavation & Trenching
    • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • Behavior-Based Safety Programs
    • Process Safety
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements
This position requires regular field presence within an active construction environment and the ability to:
  • Walk extensively throughout construction sites in varying weather conditions, including high heat and humidity.
  • Climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms.
  • Work on uneven terrain and in confined spaces when necessary.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including fall protection equipment, life vests, harnesses, and other site-specific safety gear.
  • Perform occasional lifting and physically access all designated project work areas.
  • Work flexible schedules as required, including night shifts, split shifts, weekends, and overtime.
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in LNG, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, Heavy Industrial Construction, EPC projects, or large-scale infrastructure developments are strongly encouraged to apply.
