JOB DESCRIPTION

J.P. Morgan Securities is looking for an Executive Director NYSE Floor Broker to join its equities trading team on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and help expand its growing business back to the NYSE floor. The role is execution-oriented, partnering closely with teammates across equities trading, with an emphasis on strong coordination with our electronic execution capabilities and Electronic Client Solutions (ECS) platform for algorithmic execution, liquidity solutions, and low-latency trading workflows. This position requires daily attendance on the NYSE trading floor in lower Manhattan.

As the Executive Director in our Electronic Trading – Electronic Execution team, you will provide a senior presence on the NYSE Floor in support of J.P. Morgan's agency and principal trading at the NYSE and serve as a key representative of J.P. Morgan during IPOs on the NYSE. You will be responsible in delivering seamless, high-quality execution and trade support. You will engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders to deliver best-in-class execution and trade support, and you will help drive ongoing improvements to execution processes. This role requires attention to detail, and comfort operating across both "high-touch" and "low-touch" workflows, while developing familiarity with J.P. Morgan's broader equities execution toolkit, including electronic execution and post-trade analytics (e.g., execution-quality review / TCA concepts).

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide senior on-floor leadership and act as a trusted point of escalation for complex executions, sensitive situations, and risk-managed decision-making under time pressure
  • Navigate and utilize NYSE Broker Systems for both high-touch and low-touch trading, client order routing, and risk management
  • Work closely with other members of the J.P. Morgan trading team to meet each client's unique needs regarding trade execution and trade support
  • Host clients and other firm guests on the NYSE trading floor during market hours; provide senior-level representation of the franchise
  • Build familiarity with J.P. Morgan's equities electronic execution capabilities, including algorithmic execution and smart order routing concepts, and support coordination between floor execution and electronic workflows when needed
  • Produce in-depth analysis of product usage, client trends, trading performance, and revenues to drive product evolution
  • Maintain working knowledge of equities trading, market structure, and the regulatory landscape, ensuring adherence to all relevant requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
  • 7+ years of equities experience or equivalent, including at the NYSE or in Algorithmic Trading/Smart Order Routing
