Position Overview
As an EMS Coordinator at Vulcan Materials Company, you will move beyond basic administration to the strategic coordination of our equipment lifecycle and maintenance data. You will serve as a key liaison between plant management and the maintenance team, ensuring that our mobile and fixed assets are managed with a focus on long-term efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do:
Asset Lifecycle & Systems Integration: Lead the end-to-end administration of equipment data across EMS, Oracle, and LabCheck, including complex asset entry, divisional transfers, and retirements to ensure data integrity across the Ready Mix line of business.
Operational Compliance & Maintenance Strategy: Oversee the accuracy of preventative maintenance (PM) schedules, monitor overdue services, and manage Federal DOT reporting to ensure equipment safety and regulatory compliance.
Inventory & Financial Accountability: Direct the month-end fuel closing process, investigate physical versus book inventory discrepancies, and manage fluid monitoring systems (Fluid Secure) to maintain financial accuracy and resource efficiency.
Telematics & Dispatch Oversight: Manage the integration of real-time data from Coretex, WMC, and Equipment Maintenance System interfaces, monitoring usage metrics such as hours, mileage, and yardage while investigating technical discrepancies to optimize fleet performance.
Training & User Governance: Serve as the divisional subject matter expert by providing initial and refresher training for Equipment Maintenance System and Fluid Secure, managing system user access, and acting as the Certified Forklift Instructor to maintain high standards of personnel competency.

Skills You'll Need:
Experience: Extensive experience administering databases or deployed applications with a proven track record in report writing and data analysis.
Industry Knowledge: Thorough understanding of both mobile and fixed equipment facets within the aggregates and ready-mix industries.
Technical Proficiency: Expert proficiency in Google Office applications, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and mastery of Equipment Maintenance System, LabCheck, and telematics software.
Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate with employees at all levels to report problems, receive procedures, and deliver technical training.

Salary Range. The base salary range for this role is between $86,760 - $97,848 annual salary. This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate's compensation, we consider a number of factors, including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
