Full Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician IV, your primary responsibility will be maintaining and repairing production equipment ranging from high-speed packaging and filling lines to specialized processing mixers and pumps. You will be a member of a team responsible for keeping production equipment operating with minimum downtime. Working within a highly regulated medical device manufacturing facility, you will adhere to structured SOPs in place that govern activities under an established Quality Management System. Work performed will support validated systems and processes and will be documented following cGMP principles. The production environment operates on a 24hr schedule, and this role will carry "On Call" duties for late and off-shift equipment emergencies. The Maintenance Mechanic IV role is senior-level and carries leadership responsibilities. You will be expected to be an example to your peers while ensuring preventive maintenance and priority repair activities are completed in a timely manner within the department. You will assist management with special tasks that arise including Kaizen, spare parts inventory management, and capital improvement initiatives. Working with minimal supervision, you will partner with other departments such as Engineering, Production, and Facilities to ensure priorities within the site are addressed and completed successfully.

Location: This position must be based in Irvine, California and requires the employee to be located within commuting distance of the office.

How You'll Make An Impact:
  • Performs scheduled equipment preventive maintenance (PM) tasks, completes all required documentation thrououghly and accurately. Manages open work orders within the CMMS to ensure all maintenance tasks are completed on time. Ensures all department KPIs are maintained to established goals.
  • Responsible for maintaining cGMP-compliant documentation in adherence to the Qualtiy Management System.
  • Assists in Capital Improvement Projects with coordinating contractors, prepping areas, and supporting normal business activities.
  • Leads by example to the other Maintenance Associates and fosters teamwork and knowledge sharing within the department to expand the overall capabilities of the team.
  • Manages the spare parts inventory for department, collaborates closely with Engineering to ensure the equipment life cycle is understood and proper strategic plans are in place to mitigate obsolescence.

What You Bring:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required. A technical 2 or 4yr degree is preferred.
  • 6+ years working in equipment maintenance or Associate degree with 5+ years experience preferred.
  • 4+ years working in a GMP environment with experience working in facilities/plant maintenance organization preferred.
  • Understanding of pneumatics, boilers, validated systems, and standby electrical generation systems is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety is required. Knowledge of mechanical systems, high-speed conveyance, and automated lines is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general shop tools and methodologies is required. Experience with RODI water generation systems and aseptic processing is preferred.
  • Experienced using computer maintenance management software, temperature monitoring software and applications such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Compensation: The estimated hourly rate for this position is $39.00 to $53.27 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
