The Opportunity:

In this role, you will gain hands-on exposure to Canadian Natural's conventional facility operations, developing an understanding of how costs are allocated among joint venture partners and third-party users. This is an excellent opportunity to build and refine your skills within a collaborative and dynamic team environment.

As a valued team member, you will be supported by a strong culture of learning and mentorship while developing a solid foundation in both operated and non-operated facilities. You will apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve issues, deliver accurate results, and drive continuous process improvements. Leveraging information systems to enhance efficiency will be key to your success.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Calculate annual throughput adjustments and facility operating rates for joint-owned facilities
  • Respond to external audit inquiries and working interest partner questions in a timely and professional manner
  • Develop an understanding of commercial agreements to accurately complete equalization calculations
  • Review and validate material non-operated equalizations
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
  • Support ad-hoc analyses and special projects as assigned

What You Bring to the Role:
  • 10+ years of relevant oil & gas industry experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a solid foundation in accounting principles, financial analysis, and business concepts
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented approach to reviewing data and delivering accurate results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large data sets and perform basic to intermediate analysis
  • Working knowledge of EnterpriseOne, Petrinex, Accumap, DAS, QBLM, PAS, EnergyLink is an asset
