Job Description

The Applications Analyst III supervises and provides technical guidance to the staff in the development of specifications for new or revised systems.

Responsibilities

1. Has full technical knowledge of applications analysis and hassupervisory duties of instructing, assigning, directing and checking the workof the other Applications Analysts.

2. Assists in planning, organizing and controlling the activities of thesection.

3. May work with client management to identify and specify the complexbusiness requirements and processes, and in the application design, testing andimplementation process (e.g., diverse development platforms, software,hardware, technologies and tools, etc.).

4. Coordinates the activities of the section with other IT sections (e.g.,database, telecommunications, operations, technical support, etc.).

5. Acts as expert technical resource to development staff in all phases ofthe development and implementation process.

6. Assists in all levels of supervision and may perform management functionin the absence of the Manager.

7. May act as a project leader.

8. Performs related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Five years of solid, diverse work experience in IT
  • Epic Security Certification and experience required.


Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $99,200.00 - $148,800.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
