Full Job Description
EPIC Project Leader Professional Billing who will be responsible for leading and supporting the implementation, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of Epic Professional Billing applications. This role collaborates with business, operational, and IT stakeholders to ensure solutions meet organizational and regulatory requirements and support effective revenue cycle operations. The Project Lead provides technical and functional guidance, supports issue resolution, and coordinates project activities while balancing day-to-day operational needs. In addition, this position serves as a resource and mentor for junior staff, supporting skill development, knowledge transfer, and adherence to established standards and best practices

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Project Planning and Strategy
  • Develop and lead the overall project plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project goals, scope, and deliverables.
  • Establish and communicate project objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.


Team Leadership
  • Build and lead a high-performing project team, providing guidance, motivation, and support.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to track progress, address challenges, and ensure project milestones are met.


Epic Systems Implementation
  • Oversee the implementation of Epic Systems projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Work closely with Epic Systems analysts, trainers, and other stakeholders to facilitate a smooth and successful implementation.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.


Quality Assurance
  • Establish and execute quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of Epic Systems configurations and workflows.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of system changes, collaborating with end-users to gather feedback and address concerns.


Training and Support
  • Develop and implement training programs for end-users, ensuring a seamless transition to new or updated Epic Systems functionalities.
  • Provide ongoing support and communication to end-users, addressing inquiries and issues in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Five years related experience with computer systems and applications.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Epic Systems certification in relevant modules is highly desirable.
