  • Design, implement, and support healthcare integrations leveraging FHIR APIs, RESTful web services, and modern interoperability frameworks.
  • Collaborate with application teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to define interface requirements and resolve integration-related issues.
  • Coordinate interface testing, cutover planning, and go-live activities to ensure successful deployments.
  • Partner with interface engine developers to design data translation and transformation logic supporting EHR and third-party system integrations.
  • Support integrations between Epic and internal or external applications using both traditional and modern interoperability methodologies.
  • Participate in the evaluation, design, and implementation of interoperability solutions that support real-time clinical and operational data exchange.

Production Support & Troubleshooting
  • Monitor production interfaces proactively and drive permanent resolution of interface issues through root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to HL7 messages, FHIR resources, APIs, authentication mechanisms, and data exchange workflows.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex integration and interoperability issues.
  • Analyze integration workflows and data to identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and improved performance.
  • Ensure integration solutions comply with organizational security, privacy, and data governance requirements.

Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Develop and maintain interface documentation, testing plans, support procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Create and maintain integration architecture documentation and data flow diagrams.
  • Support system upgrades, application enhancements, and interoperability initiatives.
  • Contribute to best practices and standards for interface development, support, and monitoring.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support evolving organizational needs.
