Description:
Position Summary
The Epic Informatics Training Manager is responsible for the Epic training department, including managing the delivery of all Epic training curriculum and development of supplemental EPIC and non-Epic training materials. The Epic Informatics Training Manager oversees coordinating EHR training schedules and the building of training materials for EHR education, EHR projects and go-lives. The Epic Informatics Training Manager identifies and manages remedial training needed across all application users.

Qualifications:
Education:
*Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a healthcare-related field, informatics, education, or information technology required.
Experience:
*3+ years of management experience.
*5+ years of professional development/training experience.
*Strong facilitation skills.
*Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills.
*Ability to fully utilize the electronic health record, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.
*A deep understanding of hospital organizations and EPIC certification.
*Demonstrated project management skills (technology and people) with a track record of achieving goals on time.
*Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
*The ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences how the system will be built and maintained.
*Prior experience with instructor-led classroom training and/or Epic preferred.
*Previous experience working in a healthcare IT environment and/or healthcare IT consulting organization preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
*Ability to mentor and coach direct report
*Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekend
*Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
*Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
*A deep understanding of hospital organizations and EPIC certification and/or understanding of the EPIC product suite
*Ability to manage and lead a training team
*Demonstrated project management skills (technology and people) with a track record of achieving goals on time and on budget
*Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, writing, interpersonal, and presentation skill
*The ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences the training needs of the organization
*Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
*Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned dutie
*Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, adult learning, organizational development, or healthcare or a combination of education and experience required

The posted salary represents a market competitive range based on salary survey benchmark data for similar roles in the local or national market. Annual salaries displayed are based on full-time employment (40 standard hrs per week). Annual salaries for part-time positions will be prorated based on the employee's scheduled weekly hours in relation to the full-time standard. When determining individual pay rates, we carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, internal equity and organizational needs.
In addition to your salary, this position may be eligible for medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other fringe benefits. Positions that require night, weekend or on-call work may be eligible for shift differentials or premium pay.
