  • Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, and reporting issues associated with Epic software.

Job Summary

Provides Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise and experience for assigned Epic module related to Clinical applications. Collaborates with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements.

Job Specific Duties

  • Provides Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise and experience for assigned Epic module related to Clinical applications.
  • Collaborates with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements.
  • Leads small to medium complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows including the design, build, and test phases.
  • Participates in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs.
  • Provides technical and/or clinical consultation including application configuration. Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates system needs to develop recommendations for customers.
  • Develops, supports, and maintains all required system design and build documents and other system documentation.
  • Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.


Qualifications

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Computer Sciences, Information Systems or related major (or) 4 years of related IT experience
  • Clinical Epic certification
  • 3-5 years experience in implementations for large organizations
  • 3-5 years experience in change management processes for the success of IT projects


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Direct client healthcare domain knowledge such as clinical documentation workflow, order sets, orders workflows, patient portal, closing encounters, and patient flow.
  • Experience in a complex setting such as Pediatric, tertiary, or quaternary health system preferred.
  • Certifications in 1-2 EPIC modules.
