Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular arrhythmias, and conduction abnormalities.
- manage complex arrhythmia cases.
- Implant, manage, and follow cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
- Provide patient education on cardiovascular and electrophysiologic conditions, lifestyle modifications, medication management, device therapy, and preventive strategies to reduce cardiovascular risk.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including detailed history-taking, physical examinations, and advanced diagnostic evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists, hospitalists, primary care providers, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary services to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation of patient encounters, diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations in the electronic medical record system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of cardiovascular services within the East Hawai'i region.
Education & Training Requirements- Medical Degree (MD or DO)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
- Fellowship training and BC/BE in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology
