OverviewWe currently have a need for an Environmental Scientist / Staff Engineer in our Mineola, NY office with some field work.
Responsibilities
- Field and office support for environmental field sampling, community air monitoring, hazmat assessment, pre-demolition remediation and construction administration for facilities that will be addressed as part of a large scale Commercial/Industrial phased Reconstruction
- Interface with the Program Management Team Senior Staff, as well as the Owners Representatives and Program Stakeholders
- Performing field investigation and coordinating and overseeing abatement, remediation, and demolition activities
- Maintaining databases of vendor qualifications and certifications
- Tracking submittals, evaluating change orders, verifying and reporting on the status of the work and, vendors regulatory code compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field required
- 2-5+ years experience in similar project work including lead and asbestos projectsNYS DOL Asbestos Project Designer, a plus, preferred not required
- OSHA 10/30 hour certification
- PE, CCM or DBIA credentials a plus

-Compensation: Minimum: $75.00/HR – Maximum: $85.00/HR. The range provided is the salary that the Firm in good faith believes at the time of this posting is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on the individual candidate's qualifications and location.
