Step into Your New Role  

 

Our New England group is looking to add an Environmental Scientist / Geologist to our Boston or Worcester team! 

 

This career opportunity will allow you to participate in a variety of environmental assessment and remediation projects, plan and lead field activities with minimal oversight, engage in field oversight of subcontractors, author technical reports, train entry level staff, ensure quality execution, and evaluate site data to proactively progress projects toward regulatory closure.  The position requires strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities to ensure compliance with relevant state/federal regulations and client-specific requirements.  The ideal candidate is motivated and safety-conscious with strong communication skills.

 

The hybrid position can be based in Boston or Worcester.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

  • Leads staff professionals and conducts field exploration, sampling, inspection, analysis and technical support with minimal oversight.
  • Coordinates technical aspects of small to moderate size projects.
  • Provides training for entry level technicians and staff professionals.

 

To be qualified for this opportunity, you will have:

 

  • 4-8 years of work on environmental assessment and remediation projects.
  • Experience conducting environmental field investigations and data collection/sampling.
  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related discipline is preferred.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

 

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work independently, as well as, in a team environment with a positive professional attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Massachusetts Wage Transparency Act.  Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary range: $68,000.--$100,000.00
