Description

The Senior Environmental Project Manager will lead and oversee conducting NPDES permitting, environmental assessments, supporting environmental compliance efforts, preparing permitting applications and analyzing environmental data for various types of projects, including power generation facilities, construction activities, oil & gas facilities, renewable projects, industrial sites and water treatment facilities.
  • Strong regulatory and technical understanding of wastewater and stormwater systems, electrical utilities, industrial facilities, oil & gas facilities and corporate-level environmental permitting and compliance auditing.

Experience taking the lead role and Project Managing the following activities:
  • EHS multi-media compliance auditing
  • Overseeing and developing NPDES permits, due diligence reviews, wastewater analysis
  • Develop, review and inspection of Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) Operational and Construction
  • Hazardous waste management (RCRA)
  • Federal and State EPCRA reporting and facility-level training
  • Understanding of ELG and CCR rules
  • Building, establishing and maintaining client relationships
  • Other duties, as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Water Quality, Geology, Biology, Soil Science, Environmental Engineering or a related natural science degree from an accredited program required.
  • At least 7 years of related professional environmental experience (12 years preferred). Previous experience as a consultant preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations relating to water quality permitting, under Section 402 of the Clean Water Act (i.e., National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permitting).
  • Experience preparing NPDES permit applications and performing reasonable potential analyses.
  • Experience with large data sets. Laboratory experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information.
  • Experience overseeing environmental site assessment methods.
  • Experience overseeing environmental compliance and compliance audits.
  • Experience overseeing environmental permitting process.
  • Must be proficient in the use of computer software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license required. In addition, must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the Company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy.
