The successful candidate will not only bring continued focus on obtaining world-class safety performance but will bring further motivation to a highly performing team of operators. Additionally, the successful candidate must be able to work collaboratively throughtout the division leadership team to inspire the entire operation. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must always demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Minimum Qualifications:- 4 years of leadership experience.
- 4-year degree in Engineering, Environmental or other related science, or equivalent work experience in a technical-related field.

Preferred Qualifications:- Prior Steel industry experience.
- Experience in environmental Permitting for all media (air, water, waste), environmental law, radiation safety, ISO 14001 programs, ISO 9001 Quality program, environmental auditing, environmental operations (water systems, pollution control devices, waste management).
- Experience with Quality Assurance and/or Material Sciences/Mettallurgy
- Experience with structured Safety programs and/or OSHA regulations and reguirements.
