Salary Range: $81,130- $104,992.00.00 annually
New or Existing Position: Existing Position

Your Responsibilities

As an EH&S Specialist for John Deere Specialty Products located in Langley BC, you will:

  • Lead a manufacturing team's Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems
  • Move to and Maintain an ISO 14001 :2015 Environmental Management System at a small manufacturing location
  • Assist in planning, designing, implementing, evaluating, and leading health and safety management programs and processes
  • Support strategic and tactical plans as required to meet company goals around compliance and injury reduction
  • Conduct periodic inspections, risk assessments and self-assessments
  • Assist in corrective action development and safety education and training


What Skills You Need

  • 3 or more years of experience applying occupational safety and/or environmental governmental/agency regulatory requirements or legislation
  • 3 or more years of practical application of environmental programs, occupational health principles, occupational safety programs and ergonomic principles, and the ability to apply to workplace environments
  • 3 or more years of executing processes for periodic inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective action assurance, safety and environmental education and training
  • 3 or more years analyzing appropriate safety and health metrics to identify trends and opportunities for continuous improvement
  • 1 or more years of experience in the Occupational Safety and Health or environmental profession in a manufacturing or industrial environment

  • Skilled in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution
  • CRSP designation


Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following
  • Degree in an Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental, Engineering/Technology, or Science discipline
