Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
• 5+ years of environmental engineering or compliance experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including air, water, and waste.
• Experience with permitting, regulatory reporting, and environmental audits.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 environmental management systems.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in maintaining a zero-incident safety culture.

• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, including EPA and state/local requirements.
• Manage environmental permits, including renewals and inspections.
• Collect and maintain accurate records for regulatory authorities and report noncompliance issues promptly.
• Communicate with environmental agency personnel and maintain professional relationships.
• Work collaboratively with plant staff to develop policies and systems that meet regulatory standards.
• Develop and present training programs to promote compliance with environmental practices and regulations.
