Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Project Manager to join our dynamic Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) consulting practice. This is an exciting opportunity to support one of our largest regional clients with operations spanning multiple sites across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.

In this role, you will lead environmental compliance initiatives, manage complex projects, foster client relationships, and mentor staff while helping organizations achieve regulatory compliance and sustainability goals. Responsibilities

Project Management & Client Leadership

• Lead and manage environmental compliance projects from planning through execution.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring successful project delivery and exceptional client service.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and team resources.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for continued support.

Environmental Compliance Expertise

• Provide technical guidance on:
• Industrial Stormwater Compliance
• Municipal Stormwater Programs
• Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Programs
• Waste Management
• Wastewater Operations and Compliance
• Lead preparation of environmental compliance reports and plans, including:
• SPCC Plans
• Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)
• Discharge Monitoring Reports (DMRs)
• Environmental compliance documentation and reporting

Staff Development & Mentoring

• Mentor and support junior and mid-level environmental professionals.
• Develop and deliver training related to environmental compliance and EHS requirements.

Sustainability & Environmental Stewardship

• Support clients in achieving sustainability, climate action, and resiliency objectives.
• Assist with development and implementation of environmental management programs and corrective action plans.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• 5-10+ years of professional experience in environmental compliance and/or environmental health and safety (EHS).
• Strong knowledge of federal environmental regulations and regulatory requirements within Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
• Hands-on experience conducting environmental inspections, audits, and sampling activities.
• Demonstrated success managing environmental compliance projects and programs.
• Experience developing SOPs, compliance programs, training materials, and guidance documents.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable working in office, industrial, and field environments.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet client-specific screening requirements, including potential random drug testing.

Note: This position requires specific driving duties. You must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check required by our insurer.

Travel & Field Work

• Field work is required.
• Travel is generally limited to 0-3 days per month for project meetings and site visits.
• Occasional travel up to one week at a time may be required to support inspections, audits, or client projects.
• Candidates should be comfortable working in outdoor environments, construction sites, and industrial facilities throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Pay Range

$100,000-$140,000 USD

The EA pay range for this position is intended as a general guideline and does not guarantee specific compensation or salary. Factors considered when making an offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, and compliance with federal and state laws.
