We are currently seeking an
Environmental Advisor to support the development and implementation of environmental management programs across our Lloydminster operations. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, construction, and regulatory teams to support environmental compliance, monitoring, and reporting. This role is based out of Lloydminster with regular field engagement for operational and project activities.
Responsibilities:Environmental Planning & Project Integration
- Coordinate and track environmental obligations for capital and construction projects
- Participate in project planning and kickoff meetings (pads, pipelines, facilities, and drilling programs)
- Ensure environmental requirements are defined and communicated prior to execution
Regulatory & Compliance
- Review and interpret environmental requirements, including license conditions, OGP commitments, and applicable regulations
- Coordinate regulatory notifications, submissions, and variance requests
- Ensure compliance with applicable provincial regulations and corporate standards
Field Execution & Support
- Support execution of environmental programs including monitoring, wildlife sweeps, and wetland considerations
- Work directly with field teams, contractors, and consultants to ensure compliance with environmental commitments
- Attend field sites as required to support execution and resolve issues
Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
- Support environmental monitoring and reporting, including preparation of as-built documentation
- Review operational reports, schedules, and field updates
- Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready documentation
Coordination & Continuous Improvement
- Act as liaison between operations, construction, and regulatory teams
- Support improvements to environmental tracking, reporting, and process consistency
- Identify gaps between planning and execution and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in environmental management, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- Working knowledge of Alberta and Saskatchewan environmental regulatory frameworks.
- Experience supporting construction or capital projects is considered an asset.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various field locations.
