Entropy Analyst

Full Time

We're looking for individuals with a statistical math background and interest in mathematical modeling to join our fast growing team.

Job Description: Assist our security certifications team in analyzing and modeling data collected from clients to prove the randomness of the data.

Job Functions
  • Analyze a given set of data and develop a heuristic model to describe the randomness of the data.
  • Assist product vendors in using a tool to gather the required data.
  • Provide a written, technical analysis of the data and mathematical model.
  • Communicate effectively with security product vendors, testing facilities, personnel, and government authorities to address compliance gaps, testing queries and documentation comments.
  • Remote work opportunities.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistical Math, Computer Engineering, or a comparable field.

Required Skills and Experience
  • In depth knowledge of statistical mathematics.
  • Experience with creating mathematical models of data.
  • Familiarity with software development.
  • Strong written presentation skills - ability to articulate requirements in technical and non-technical terms to customers, peers and management.
  • Ability to chart data visually for reporting purposes.

Desired Skills and Experience
  • Understanding of the theory of randomness
