Position Summary:
The Enterprise Training & Operations Manager owns people leadership for StrataTech's full B2B instructor staff, across every enterprise client program, not just a single account. This role is responsible for hiring, onboarding, training, and day-to-day people management of instructors across all campuses and programs, while serving as the direct manager for a growing instructor bench. The role will also support the oversight of standardized practices and organization needed to keep pace with strategic growth at the same pace as new client workforce programs.
Responsibilities:
• Own full-cycle hiring for B2B instructor roles across every enterprise program and campus location, including job descriptions, sourcing strategy, interview process, and final hiring decisions in partnership with the Senior Director.
• Manage onboarding and initial training for newly hired instructors, ensuring every new hire reaches full readiness on a consistent timeline regardless of which program or campus they join.
• Serve as the direct people manager for the B2B instructor staff: conduct regular check-ins, manage performance, handle coaching and corrective action, and support career development.
• Build and maintain standardized instructor practices, expectations, and documentation across programs, so that quality and delivery consistency do not depend on which client program or campus an instructor sits in.
• Partner with program leads and client-facing staff to understand each program's staffing needs and translate them into hiring and training plans.
• Support organizational execution for Enterprise Training Operations: help design and maintain the processes, tools, and reporting that let the team track instructor staffing levels, readiness, and performance across a growing portfolio.
• Identify staffing gaps and scaling risk before they affect delivery and build a hiring pipeline that keeps pace with new client wins and campus expansion.
• Travel to campus and client sites (30% to 40%) to support hiring, onboarding, instructor observation, and in-person leadership presence across the portfolio.
Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in people management, with direct responsibility for hiring, performance management, and team development.
• Experience managing a distributed or multi-site team, comfortable managing people who are not in the same physical location day to day.
• Experience in workforce training, technical education, corporate learning and development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to build or standardize processes across multiple teams or programs, not just manage a single, static team.
• Strong hiring and interviewing skills, with experience building a hiring pipeline that can scale with organizational growth.
• Comfortable traveling 30% to 40% of the time to campus and client locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to represent instructor and staffing needs clearly to senior leadership and client-facing teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience managing instructors, trainers, or technical educators specifically, rather than a general corporate team.
• Experience supporting B2B or enterprise client-facing training programs, where staffing decisions have direct client relationship impact.
• Experience working across multiple concurrent programs or client accounts rather than a single program.
• Familiarity with skilled trades, technical, or industrial training environments.
• Experience building onboarding or training standardization programs from the ground up.
People Responsibilities:
Direct leadership of instructor teams across multiple client programs.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to work at a computer for extended periods, including frequent video calls and virtual meetings.
• Ability to travel to campus and client sites, including navigating airports, and adjusting to varied schedules.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 15-25 lbs.
• Visual and auditory acuity sufficient to review training materials, conduct virtual and in-person observations, and communicate effectively across remote and in-person settings.
