Job Description:

The Enterprise Project Manager assists with the execution and support in the implementation and optimization of enterprise projects following the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC). The primary focus is to provide guidance and support to project sponsors and stakeholders and track project action items and deliverables.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Organize and lead clinic-based information system projects including development of project plan, defining project milestones, system testing, training, implementation, and follow-up on behalf of stakeholders.
  • Assists in the planning of project management activities and phases for enterprise projects or initiatives using organizational project management software tools
  • Facilitates project team meetings and provides constructive coaching and direction to team members to keep projects moving forward to completion
  • Ensure project status updates in project management software and tools are relevant, current, and accurate
  • Serve as a liaison to promote the understanding of clinic-based information systems with a focus on patient care and end-user experience.
  • Manage and drive the Change Management process for clinic-based systems by collaborating with departmental stakeholders for evaluation, implementation, and communication of requests
  • Apply systems-thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills when considering changes or enhancements to proactively identify and minimize cross-functional or downstream impacts
  • Serve as an internal consultant to guide the development/enhancement of workflows, policies, and standards as they relate to clinic-based information systems
  • Apply subject matter expertise and business analysis skills when partnering with stakeholders to define and document requirements for system projects
  • Troubleshoot potential and/or current problems by engaging with vendors/subject matter experts and performing root cause analysis (when appropriate) to proactively address concerns and respond to problems in a timely manner
  • Review system reported issues to determine if event is training, configuration, or systemic problem
  • Support implementations and system releases by writing test scripts, performing user acceptance testing, and/or configuring applications
  • Work in conjunction with other project managers, department leaders/managers and IT teams to prioritize, track and communicate system related issues
  • Other responsibilities as determined by the Director of Enterprise Projects Management

  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with providers, executive leaders, directors, managers, team members, other departmental trainers, vendors, and consultants by phone, in person, or through correspondence, also includes presentations and public speaking opportunities.
  • Ability to monitor/assess performance of self, other individuals, or organization to recommend improvements regarding workflow, processes, and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate active listening, by giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, and asking questions as appropriate.

  • Identify measures or indicators of system performance and the actions needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.

  • Ability to establish priorities and coordinate the work activities of a variety of individuals at a multitude of locations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a highly active environment with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships including management of confidential or sensitive information
  • Ability to be proactive, self-motivated, and self-directed.
  • Ability to travel to clinic locations required
