Job Summary
The Enterprise Portfolio Architect is responsible for managing the lifecycle of standard elements required to implement and sustain a business or technology portfolio. This role provides architectural oversight and governance for portfolio projects, defines the portfolio architectural vision, strategy, principles, and standards, and collaborates with architects and IT leadership to oversee architecture, design, technology, and implementation across the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop portfolio capability strategies to achieve enterprise architecture goals and objectives.
• Manage, communicate, and promote portfolio strategies and architectural techniques through architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and executive presentations.
• Assess current-state and target-state capabilities and IT service health to identify opportunities, constraints, and areas for improvement.
• Align IT strategy and planning with business goals and objectives by contributing to strategic investment planning.
• Participate in developing policies, standards, and guidelines that guide the selection, development, implementation, and use of technology across the portfolio and enterprise.
• Promote shared capabilities to reduce costs, improve business agility, and prevent duplication of functionality across projects.
• Promote the adoption of industry best practices for application and integration frameworks, tools, standards, and guidelines.
• Lead research and development initiatives, including proofs of concept and prototypes, when evaluating and introducing new technologies.
• Guide and support the implementation of new clients and vendor integrations aligned with assigned business capabilities.
• Facilitate communication between IT workgroups and business stakeholders regarding technical issues and major changes.
• Provide architectural oversight and governance throughout the portfolio lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
• Experience working as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar architecture role.
• Experience with large-scale business transformation and data modernization initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience developing enterprise strategies, architectural roadmaps, and technology plans.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, governance, standards, and technology strategy.
• Proficiency with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Experience translating business objectives into enterprise architecture strategies and actionable technology roadmaps.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the Healthcare or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) industry.
