You will operate at the center of Chevron's project execution ecosystem, working across business units and functions to deliver excellence through strong leadership, collaboration, and contractor partnerships. Success in this role requires a leader who builds an inclusive, collaborative team environment, is direct and decisive in surfacing and resolving trade-offs, and holds themselves and others accountable for delivering measurable results.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Build and lead the enterprise construction capability, ensuring the right expertise, systems, and practices are deployed across projects.
  • Shape and influence project execution strategies, including delivery models, early works, and contracting strategies.
  • Collaborate across engineering, procurement, construction, systems completion, and startup functions to drive integrated project outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain strategic contractor partnerships to enable world-class construction performance, leveraging deep knowledge of the onshore construction supplier base to build and negotiate strategic partnership agreements.
  • Drive adoption of best-in-class construction practices, including Advanced Work Packaging (AWP), planning methodologies, execution control and performance management.
  • Develop high-performing teams and leaders, building sustainable organizational capability.
  • Own the onshore construction job family, including performance management and career and skill development, building high-performing teams and developing future leaders across the discipline.
  • Ensure disciplined management of execution risks and deliver predictable project outcomes at scale.
  • Champion a strong safety and Operational Excellence culture, with disciplined management of construction and execution risks in complex processing facilities and rigorous planning for safe execution across all phases of work, including early works.
  • Serve as a credible, visible representative of Chevron's onshore construction capability with senior leadership, business units, and strategic contractors, building trust and confidence in the organization's execution capability.
  • Foster a diverse, inclusive, and psychologically safe team environment, working collaboratively across functions while being direct in surfacing risks, decisive in driving decisions, and accountable for results.

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of construction leadership experience on large-scale capital projects.

  • Deep expertise in modern construction management and execution practices (e.g., planning, execution control, work packaging).
  • Strong knowledge and application of Capital Projects Management Practices, principles and tools.
  • Proven ability to lead at enterprise scale, influencing across stakeholders, business units, and project leadership teams.
  • Strong experience managing major contractors and diverse contracting strategies, with knowledge of the onshore construction supplier base and a track record of building strategic partnership agreements.
  • Demonstrated experience managing construction and execution risks in complex processing facilities environments, with a strong track record of planning and delivering safe execution of work across all project phases, including early works.
  • Demonstrated personal credibility and executive presence, with a track record of earning trust and influencing outcomes across senior leadership, project teams, and contractor organizations.
