Full Job Description
We're looking for a Enterprise Network Architect to join our customer-facing solutions team. This is not a back-office design role - you'll work directly with customers (broadcasters, media companies, telcos, and service providers) to understand their infrastructure challenges, design IP and hybrid network architectures that meet their operational and business goals, and guide them through implementation and adoption of Evertz solutions.

You'll be equal parts technical expert, trusted advisor, and communicator - translating complex networking and media-transport concepts into clear recommendations for both engineering teams and business stakeholders.

What You'll Do:
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for customers during the pre-sales, design, and deployment phases of network infrastructure projects
  • Design scalable, resilient IP network architectures (including ST 2110/NMOS-based media networks) tailored to customer requirements
  • Lead on-site and remote discovery sessions to assess existing customer infrastructure and define migration paths from SDI/baseband to IP
  • Develop network topology designs, bill of materials, and technical documentation to support proposals and statements of work
  • Present architecture recommendations directly to customer engineering teams, operations staff, and executive stakeholders
  • Partner with Sales and Product Management to scope solutions, respond to RFPs/RFIs, and support technical evaluations
  • Provide technical leadership during commissioning and go-live, troubleshooting network and system-level issues alongside field engineering teams
  • Serve as a trusted advisor post-deployment, helping customers plan for scale, redundancy, and future technology transitions (e.g., cloud-based and hybrid workflows)
  • Stay current on industry standards (SMPTE ST 2110, NMOS, PTP) and emerging trends in IP media networking and cloud production
  • Travel to customer sites as needed

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in network architecture/engineering, ideally within broadcast, media, telecom, or another mission-critical IP networking environment
  • Strong hands-on experience with IP networking fundamentals: routing/switching, QoS, multicast, PTP/timing, and network redundancy design
  • Familiarity with SMPTE ST 2110, NMOS, and IP-based media transport is highly desirable
  • Proven experience working directly with customers - comfortable leading technical conversations, presentations, and workshops with both engineers and executives
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in live, high-availability environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate technical detail for non-technical audiences
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed (estimate: 20-40%)
  • Relevant certifications a plus (CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA, or similar)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience

What we Offer:
  • Employer funded benefits program
  • Competitive total compensation package
  • Work-Life Balance
  • Employee assistance plan
  • Employee Discount Platform
  • Career Progression
  • Casual Work Environment
  • Social Events and Sports Teams
  • Onsite Counsellor

Location: Burlington, Ontario
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Vacancy: This is a newly created position
Salary Range (Based on relevant Experience): $80,000 to $130,000 per year.
