Responsibilities & QualificationsRESPONSIBILITIES
- Manages change management process in accordance with TekSynap BMS 7.04.0, ITIL change management practices, Air Force TO 00‑33A‑1100, and all applicable Communications Squadron workflows.
- Ensures that all changes are properly classified, documented, assessed, coordinated, approved, scheduled, and closed using required criteria, including impact, risk, urgency, priority, configuration of items, test plans, and roll-back plans.
- Oversees the Forward Schedule of Changes and ensures all requested or scheduled Authorized Service Interruptions are coordinated and approved through MCCC and AMAC as required by AF enterprise processes. Deconflicts change activity across bases and functional teams and ensures alignment with enterprise‑level, MAJCOM‑level, and local CS approval paths.
- Validates completeness and accuracy of all change requests, enforces required documentation standards, and ensures compliance with BMS reporting, audit, and quality requirements.
- Establishes or refines Communications Squadron workflows when gaps exist or when assistance is requested. Provides daily SITREPs to the Program Manager for all High or Critical changes and submits weekly reports summarizing change metrics, processing performance, risks, delays, and any support needed from leadership.
- Ensures post‑implementation reviews and required documentation are completed prior to closure in alignment with AF TO 00‑33A‑1100 closure and review procedures.
- Establishes, maintains, and controls Configuration Baseline(s) in the designated Change Management Database (CMDB).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5 years of experience
- Must have an active Secret clearance
- Enterprise change, configuration, and baseline management
- ITIL-aligned change control, impact/risk/urgency/priority assessment, scheduling, approval, and closure
- Configuration-item and asset tracking within a CMDB
- Development and control of implementation, test, rollback, and post-implementation-review records
- Coordination of Authorized Service Interruptions, maintenance windows, and operational dependencies
- Technical documentation, process development, auditability, and metrics/reporting
- Ability to coordinate Government, Communications Squadron, engineering, cybersecurity, and deployment stakeholders
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- DoD/Air Force change-management experience, including TO 00-33A-1100 familiarity
- Experience with enterprise CMDB/service-management platforms
- MCCC/AMAC or comparable enterprise change-approval processes
- Training and workflow-development experience
- Experience supporting RMF, STIG, CMMC, ISO, or other compliance-driven configuration controls
- Multi-site modernization and high-tempo deployment change coordination
CERTIFICATIONS
ITIL 4 Foundation; DoD 8140 IAT Level II required when privileged system access is assigned

WAGE INFORMATION
Target salary range: $85,000.00 - $96,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
